According to Gallup’s 2023 State of the Global Workplace Report, only 13% of European workers are actively engaged and 72% show signs of “quiet quitting”. Learning drives employee satisfaction and 89% express the need for training anytime, anywhere.

Leaders responsible for training employees in companies and teaching students at schools and universities are required to do more with less to achieve their goals while contending with poor engagement. Fortunately, modern pedagogy and technologies can be utilized to deliver superior learning outcomes, meeting learners where they are, while enabling remote collaboration and social interaction. The use of data and analytics is key to understanding engagement in today’s virtual settings. The right platforms offer new ways to enhance online teaching and interactions.

Dan Avida is a serial entrepreneur, venture capitalist, and CEO of Engageli, which he co-founded with Daphne Koller, Coursera’s co-founder, and with Serge Plotkin, a Stanford University Professor Emeritus. Join Dan for a session exploring how to drive learner engagement through technology while simultaneously reducing costs. Featuring insights from Engageli’s work with corporate and educational institution partners, he’ll share how intentional use of modern tools and pedagogical strategies can facilitate human connections that drive engagement and business outcomes.
