Learning Technologies France 2024: International conference highlights

The international conference of France’s leading workplace learning event in English has expanded by more than 25%, accommodating some brilliant new speakers and high audience demand. This one day conference takes place in Salle Londres on Thursday 24th January from 10am to 4pm CET.

The international conference this year is moderated by Donald H Taylor, Chair of the Learning Technologies Conference London and Dr David Guralnick, President of the International Learning Association and CEO of Kaleidoscope Learning, New York. Both are very experienced moderators and prolific contributors to our industry worldwide. David will speak as a keynote about the future of a new world of performance using AI, and Donald will be presenting the results of his annual Global Sentiment Survey and what it is telling us for the future of L&D. In relation to this, Armin Hopp, founder of Speexx, from Germany, will share his vision for the future of learning and development for the next 10 years.

The international conference allows us to invite outstanding thinkers and keynote speakers from around the world, so our visitors can discover a global viewpoint. In this vein, I've invited a very interesting man from Germany called Achim Lelle, who is an AI Management Consultant and Coach. He will talk to us about his experience with Artificial Intelligence and the ethical side with a keynote entitled “Preserving truth in times of AI”. Also on AI, David Wortley, Vice President of the Digital Medicine Society will be answering the question “Is your digital twin smarter than you?” This session will feature a live demonstration of avatars of people in the room, which will be engaging and fun!

From Belgium, the most talented speaker Edouard Gruwez founder of “To The Point at Work” will be doing a keynote “Cognitive precision: a fundamental competence in the age of AI?”. Finally on AI,  Coursera have proposed this intriguing keynote : “How to Synergize Digital, Collaborative, and Experiential Learning in the Age of Digital & AI” by education specialist, Kristine Naltchadjian, now VP for Southern Europe.

From the USA, we have invited the founder of Coursera, Dan Avida, who will talk about how he uses new technology to increase learner engagement while reducing costs. Also coming over from the United States is Jane Bozarth the director of research at the Learning Guild, which is part of our Learning Technologies group. She's going to talk about “Measure what Matters” , focusing on what impacts performance.

Two CLO’s are also delivering strategic keynotes about the challenges for L&D:

  • From Ireland, Eileen Oliver Free, Principal Talent Partner at LinkedIn for Europe, Middle East and Africa, is coming to talk about the six must-haves for a successful learning culture.
  • From the UK, David James, blogger, podcaster and the highly-renowned CLO of 360Learning will join us – check out his video message about his keynote.
