Generative AI has the ability to bring about significant changes to online learning and to Learning & Development overall, and we’ve already begun to see some changes in practice. AI is already often used to help learning experience designers in the design process and even in development/creation processes. But we have the opportunity to go well beyond incremental improvements and instead reimagine what learning experiences can be.

Immersive learn-by-doing simulations can be very effective learning experiences that facilitate skill transfer to a job, but these simulations have typically been time-consuming and expensive to create. AI can help us change that.

In this keynote, we’ll explore the power of AI-based simulations that can provide realistic, in-depth learning experiences that can change the way learning experiences work and feel. We'll see a demonstration of such a simulation and describe elements of the processes involved in designing and developing this type of effective experience.
